Instalasi Zimbra 6.0.0 Network Edition dan Zimbra Mobile

Zimbra Collaboration Suite(ZCS) sebagai solusi mailserver yang komplit memiliki 2 versi produk yaitu versi open source(free) dan versi network(komersial). Pada artikel sebelumnya tentang zimbra saya membuat tutorial instalasi dan konfigurasi untuk versi open source pada mesin Debian, CentOS, openSUSE, dan cukup puas akan fitur yang diberikan. Tetapi dengan kemajuan perangkat telekomunikasi(handphone) fungsi email tidak hanya dipakai di kantor atau rumah saja, diperlukan solusi mobile untuk bisa tetap terima dan kirim email. Solusi mobile ini  tidak ada pada ZCS versi open source(free), dan adanya pada ZCS versi Network Edition. Versi Zimbra Network ini membutuhkan file lisensi dalam proses instalasi, jadi jika ingin menggunakan fasilitas zimbra mobile harus beli lisensi ZCS Network Edition.

Instalasi dan konfigurasi Zimbra Network Edition yang memiliki fitur Zimbra Mobile akhirnya bisa saya coba pada server produksi.  Hasilnya server Zimbra Network Edition dengan fungsi messagingnya dan fungsi zimbra mobile untuk karyawan(bos) yang mobilitasnya tinggi. Jadi setiap email yang masuk ke server akan di direct push/OTA ke handphone karyawan, karyawan juga dapat cek email, mereply email melalui handphone. Pada instalasi dan konfigurasi ini saya akan jelaskan bagaimana interaksinya dengan Handphone Nokia E61i yang menggunakan Mail for Exchanger. Tahapannya yaitu  Instalasi Zimbra 6.0.0 Network Edition, konfigurasi Zimbra Mobile, konfigurasi Nokia E61i. menggunakan Mail For Exchange.

Item-item yang diperlukan pekerjaan ini adalah :

– Hardware : Server IBM, Handphone Nokia E61i(Firmware 3.0633.69.00).
– Software : Sistem operasi Linux CentOS 5.3, Zimbra zcs-NETWORK-6.0.0_GA_1802.RHEL5.20090830122136 dengan file ZCSLicense.xml, BIND, Mail For Exchange 2.09(158) for Nokia E Series.
– Domain .id, koneksi internet dedicated, IP Publik.

Setelah semua item-item diatas terpenuhi, kita lanjutkan proses Instalasi dan Konfigurasinya :

Sistem operasi menggunakan Linux CentOS 5.3

Zimbra membutuhkan Record Resources(RR) MX(mailXchanger) pada server ini untuk itu diperlukan DNS(domain name server) yang dalam proses ini saya gunakan BIND.  Tetap pada DNS domain utama jangan lupa arahkan setting MX nya dengan priority lebih rendah ke IP Publik server Zimbra ini.

BIND 9 dengan instalasi chroot :

Selesai menginstall dan configure BIND, saya siapkan untuk penginstallan ZCS 6.0.0 Network Edition pada CentOS 5.3 untuk ini perlu diinstal beberapa software pendukung agar instalasi Zimbra lancar :

INSTALASI ZIMBRA 6.0.0 NETWORK EDITION

Untuk memulai instalasi Zimbra 6.0.0 Network Edition diperlukan file binary instalasi dan file lisensi. Kedua file ini dapat didapatkan dengan membeli product Zimbra Network Edition melalui :

http://www.zimbra.com/products/pricing.html

Setelah pembelian akan diberikan URL untuk mendownload file binary Zimbra Network Edition dan file lisensi. Proses instalasi tidak jauh berbeda dengan versi Zimbra Open Source, ditengah instalasi nanti perlu memasukkan path file lisensi, dalam instalasi ini saya simpan di /home/gtoms/ZCSLicense.xml

Selesai.! Begitu mudah memang menginstall Zimbra(ZCS) asal kita memenuhi semua requirement yang diperlukan. Selanjutnya mencoba Zimbra Admin untuk membuat domain(s-xxx.net.id) dan user dan mengaktifkan fitur Zimbra Mobile untuk user email yang sudah dicreate, control panel ini diakses pada https://mail.s-xxx.net.id:7071

Selesai urusan send kirim email melalui webmail, pastikan juga test kirim dan terima email mengunakan Zimbra Desktop, Mail Client(Outlook,Outlook Express,Thunderbird,Postbox). Setelah lancar kita masuk ke bagian yang paling penting Zimbra Mobile untuk digunakan di Handphone.

Setup Zimbra Mobile

Zimbra Mobile merupakan fitur Zimbra synchronization yang dapat melakukan’over-the-air’ mobile data access (email, contacts, calendar) dengan mobile  devices menggunakan native software / UI yang terinstall pada handphone device. Fitur ini yang paling ingin saya coba secara langsung dan live.  Dalam setup ini akan dicoba menggunakan handphone Nokia E61i agar bisa melakukan sync terhadap server Zimbra Network ini. Sehingga fungsi mailing bisa dilakukan secara mobile. Fitur Zimbra Mobile sudah ada terinstall saat kita menginstall Zimbra 6.0.0 Nework Edition. Untuk mengaktifkannya bisa diakses melalui https://mail.s-xxx.net.id:7071/ZimbraAdmin, lalu create account email baru misalnya gtoms@s-xxx.net.id kemudian kita manage account ini yang akan menampilkan daftar setting yang salah satunya fitur Zimbra Mobile yang secara default Enable Mobile Sync belum diaktifkan. Untuk ini perlu diaktifkan fitur ini agar bisa melakukan sync pada mobile devices(handphone) yang disupport Zimbra Network.

Pada gambar diatas yang sudah diaktifkan : Enable Mobile Sync, Enable Mobile Policy, Allow Non-provisionable devices, Allow partial policy enforcemenet on device, Force pin on device.

Selesai mengkonfigurasi Zimbra Mobile pada server ini, kita beralih ke setting Nokia E61i.  Zimbra mobile mensupport banyak handphone smartphone diantara : Apple iPhone,Treo 650,680,700P,Palm Treo 700w,Treo 750P,Palm Treo 750W, Treo T/X, Motorola Q, Samsung Blackjack,Nokia E-Series (E61, E62, E65), Nokia N90,BlackBerry,HP iPAQ, dsb. Pada tutorial ini saya coba pada Nokia E61i.

Ketika membeli Nokia E61i biasanya sudah terinstall software Mail for Exchange, tapi jika belum ada bisa didownload melalui http://www.businesssoftware.nokia.com/mail_for_exchange_downloads.php, setelah itu diinstall mengunakan Nokia PC Suite.  Mail For Exchange memiliki fitur Native integration,Synchronisation,True push,Optimisation,Full application support,Web Email,Data security,Spam. Instalasi di Nokia E61i(black) saya memakai Mail for Exchange versi 2.09(158).

Setelah konfigurasi kita jalankan melalui Menu—-Installations—-Mail for Exchange—-Option—Full resync

Nokia E61i akan melakukan sinkronisasi over-the-air dengan server Zimbra mobile. Jika sudah selesai akan muncul email-email pada Inbox Mail for Exchange, kita juga bisa set berapa menit untuk melakukan sync ke server zimbra mobile.

Kita juga bisa device yang terkoneksi melalui Zimbra Webmail dengan login menggunakan user account yang dalam instalasi ini dapat diaskes melalui http://mail.s-xxx.net.id , setelah login lihat di Preferences—-Mobile Devices akan terdeteksi IMEI E61i. Nokia E61i sudah terkoneksi baik dengan Zimbra Network Edition.
